How to Make Mushroom Risotto – Hello Ajarian! Another Italian dish which can be found almost everywhere around the world is risotto. Risotto is made from rice cooked with broth until the texture is creamy. In this article we will give you the recipe to make risotto and the other famous variant mushroom risotto.

To make risotto, you need to prepare these ingredients:

  • 40 gm Butter
  • 30 gm Diced onion
  • 1 cup Short grain rice (Italian Arborio rice or Australian short grain)
  • 330 ml Vegetable stock
  • 30 ml White wine


  1. Melt butter and sweat onion till translucent
  2. Add rice and mix well
  3. Add the liquids and salt to taste
  4. Bring to the boil while stirring constantly, cover with lid and adjust to the lowest possible rating
  5. Do not open the lid
  6. Allow cooking for 13 minutes, and then allow standing for an extra 5 minutes without moving lid.

You can also make another variant of risotto. One of the famous variant is mushroom risotto. Here are the ingredients you need to prepare when making mushroom risotto:

  • 100 gm Rice, Arborio, par cooked
  • 15 gm Olive oil
  • 15 gm Onion, fine diced
  • 50 gm Button Mushroom cut in ½ or ¼ depend on size
  • 20 gm Fresh fennel cut in fine brunoise
  • 25 ml White wine
